Eretz Israel is our unforgettable historic homeland...The Jews who will it shall achieve their State...And whatever we attempt there for our own benefit will redound mightily and beneficially to the good of all mankind. (Theodor Herzl, DerJudenstaat, 1896)

We offer peace and amity to all the neighbouring states and their peoples, and invite them to cooperate with the independent Jewish nation for the common good of all. The State of Israel is ready to contribute its full share to the peaceful progress and development of the Middle East.
(From Proclamation of the State of Israel, 5 Iyar 5708; 14 May 1948)

With a liberal democratic political system operating under the rule of law, a flourishing market economy producing technological innovation to the benefit of the wider world, and a population as educated and cultured as anywhere in Europe or North America, Israel is a normal Western country with a right to be treated as such in the community of nations.... For the global jihad, Israel may be the first objective. But it will not be the last. (Friends of Israel Initiative)

Video footage of the Bedouin among the Bravehearts (not)

Here’s a video that gives a glimpse into the intimidatory, cowardly, fascistic behaviour of anti-Israel elements at Edinburgh University on 2 February, when a coven of flag-waving protesters screaming anti-Israel slogans disrupted a talk there by Israeli diplomat Ishmael Khaldi (who happens to be a Muslim and a Bedouin) - he'd been invited to the university by Jewish students, but found it impossible to carry on with his talk owing to these thugs.

Update: another video, shedding more light on this shameful episode, can be seen at http://daphneanson.blogspot.com/2011/02/hate-with-scottish-accent-video.html

  2. I think the people who should feel ashamed are the people enrolled in university education who debase the idea and purpose of the university by closing their minds and ears to the free flow of ideas and behaving like fascists - the totalitarian lefties and their strange bedfellow allies!

  3. Hi Daphne. Looking back in history it's clear that the Palestines were driven out of their hometown to make way for Israel so I understand their hatred. For them, Israel shouldn't exist in the first place. The way I look at it though is that we can't cry over spilled milk. Muslim aggression and anti-semitism is not the solution. Too many people all over the world are dying because the muslims are using their religion as an excuse to violence. I support peace, justice, equality and the universal human rights. I hope the world will continue to do so. Shalom.

“This isn’t free speech; it is hatred, it is vandalism,” Khaldi told The Jerusalem Post on Friday.

“These activists abuse the values of freedom and democracy of the UK, they put the seeds of hatred in Europe and they betray the cause of moderate Palestinians who, despite everything, are ready to do everything to reach reconciliation and peace with Israel, toward establishing an independent Palestinian state.”

Israel’s ambassador to the UK Ron Prosor said he was not surprised to see this at a British university.

“Ishmael Khaldi reflects the tolerant and open Israel of 2011,” said the ambassador. “These attempts to suppress his freedom of speech come as no surprise.

Once more a British university views this intimidating, mob-rule as acceptable.”

Eh not quite. No one was being driven anywhere until many years after the first arab ethnic cleansing of the modern era, e.g., Hebron 1929, Kfar Hashiloach, Jaffa,... If the arabs had not started the war they would not have risked losing it and either fleeing or being expelled because they could not be trusted.
